Community Support
The money we raise through our driftwood shows, sales and yearly raffle not only support our club but more importantly contributes to educational programs of the Olympic Peninsula. Each year, we present a grant to an educational program or give a scholarship to a graduating high school senior who plans to pursue a degree in Art, Graphic Design or Art education.
On Oct 3, 2024 we had the drawing for our Club Raffle sculpture, the winning ticket goes to Darcie Mayo. From the raffle proceeds we will be presenting a grant to a graduating Sequim Art student, Anne Marie Barni.
Our members have also given presentations to local clubs and we have demonstrated driftwood sculpture at shows and at local farmers markets. In addition, this website offers educational videos in which we share tips and ideas for others to try in working with wood.
A past show.
